Change of generation

At the Christmas party at the end of 2022, the transfer of Event Rent from Jürgen Bungert to his son and partner Jens Bungert was officially announced.
At the age of 34 the new managing director Jens has been with his father's company for almost two thirds of his life.
Already at the age of 13 he helped out at a big event for the first time during the holidays and had a lot of fun at it.
In retrospect, his great passion for the event industry probably aroused there.

Nevertheless, he decided to take other paths for the time being in order to get to know business processes outside Event Rent as well.
After graduating from the Higher School of Commerce, he began an apprenticeship at the Gilde Group as a merchant for whole sale and foreign trade, while also completing his technical baccalaureate.
Since he liked the commercial field, he immediately followed a study in Business Administration at the University of Applied Science in Cologne.
In addition to all the further training, Jens never lost the connection to Event Rent. In his sparetime he was always involved in the company and from the 5th semester of his studies, he was actually drawn to Event Rent full-time. 

The course of study was completed in 2014 by the way.
From then on, Jens went through all departments of the company to get to know and evaluate each area and the processes in detail: from storage/cleaning to assembly and logistics. 

This was followed by operationsmanagement and projectmanagement, during which he led many major events such as the DKM Fair in Dortmund, the Thuner Seespiele, the Semperopernball or the Hurricane Festival.
His aim is to keep his heart’s concern, the projectmanagement, as well as possible in the future. Currently, however, his activities are increasingly developing into the administrative area: Here, the senior and junior work together to continuously improve the internal structures of the company, expand innovative ideas and always stay up to date.
