Change of generation
At the Christmas party at the end of 2022, the transfer of Event Rent from Jürgen Bungert to his son and partner Jens Bungert was officially announced.
At the age of 34 the new managing director Jens has been with his father's company for almost two thirds of his life.
Already at the age of 13 he helped out at a big event for the first time during the holidays and had a lot of fun at it.
In retrospect, his great passion for the event industry probably aroused there.
Nevertheless, he decided to take other paths for the time being in order to get to know business processes outside Event Rent as well.
After graduating from the Higher School of Commerce, he began an apprenticeship at the Gilde Group as a merchant for whole sale and foreign trade, while also completing his technical baccalaureate.
Since he liked the commercial field, he immediately followed a study in Business Administration at the University of Applied Science in Cologne.
In addition to all the further training, Jens never lost the connection to Event Rent. In his sparetime he was always involved in the company and from the 5th semester of his studies, he was actually drawn to Event Rent full-time.
The course of study was completed in 2014 by the way.
From then on, Jens went through all departments of the company to get to know and evaluate each area and the processes in detail: from storage/cleaning to assembly and logistics.
This was followed by operationsmanagement and projectmanagement, during which he led many major events such as the DKM Fair in Dortmund, the Thuner Seespiele, the Semperopernball or the Hurricane Festival.
His aim is to keep his heart’s concern, the projectmanagement, as well as possible in the future. Currently, however, his activities are increasingly developing into the administrative area: Here, the senior and junior work together to continuously improve the internal structures of the company, expand innovative ideas and always stay up to date.

Events.Connect.
Under the motto Events.Connect. we appeared together as cooperation partners at the Best of Events 2024 International trade fair. In previous years, we have already presented ourselves together with our long-standing partner, the caterer Stolzenhoff Foodmanufaktur, at the leading trade fair for the event industry. This year, we were joined by other partners from the surrounding exhibition stands. Together with our associated partners Allseated, Borussia Brauerei, Chamaeleo Event Support, Deutsches Fußballmuseum, Media Spectrum, Music4Friends Entertainment, ServiceKonzeptRuhr and Skyliner, we formed a great portfolio for all kinds of events.
Jule, 18 years old – my experiences at the DKM in Dortmund
After just three months in my apprenticeship as an event manager, I was able to accompany our project managers at DKM in Dortmund. As a result, I was able to get an insight into the world of events at the beginning of my training.
DKM is a trade fair in Dortmund where products and services from the financial and insurance sectors are presented by many individual companies. It lasts a total of two days and comprises six halls and the foyer.
I was particularly fascinated by the extensive planning and preparation of events of this dimension. Not only the internal organisation, but also the agreement with the other service providers, who are also on site, is essential.

The Lake Thun Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary - and we've been there right from the start.
Since 2004, we have been equipping the Thunerseespiele in Switzerland with our furniture, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year.
For almost two decades, we have been able to witness unforgettable cultural moments, natural spectacles and enchanting backs every year.

In the immediate vicinity of the Ruhr area, Düsseldorf and Cologne, we are taking our service to a new level: shorter transport routes, quick response to orders at short notice and we are now even easier to reach for our self-collection customers from the surrounding area.
As a service partner of Messe Düsseldorf, we count the close proximity of our new location to the trade fair as another plus point.

Since August 2021, I have been pursuing a part-time degree in Event and Trade Fair Management at EVENT RENT. The study program is structured as a distance learning program, but it doesn't lack support from the university. There's a manageable group of students and the contact with instructors and organizers is very personal. Whenever I have questions or problems, someone is always there to listen.

In my one and a half years at Event Rent I have already experienced a lot. From the daily office routine to on-site project support and insight into the various departments in our company, I've experienced just about everything.
At the beginning of the training, I got to know all the work processes in the office. After I had learned how to process customer inquiries, I was quickly allowed to advise and support customers personally and on the phone.

Review of the year 2022
What a crazy time it was. The year began in an undefined way and ended with a huge success! To our delight, the situation calmed down in spring 2022, allowing us to start the new season with fresh courage and almost the same team.
A flood of orders awaited us - many projects, some at very short notice, but which we were able to realise perfectly thanks to good preparation for the new start.
In new splendor...
Our world is becoming more and more digital. Nevertheless, in 2019 we decided to create a new catalogue. Thus, a small masterpiece was created in a short implementation phase. Close teamwork and a lot of working hours give our new catalog a new shine.

For many years, the Landhaus Ridder has been the first address in the area when it comes to the topic of wedding locations. We used this great place for a special styled-shoot and staged many of our new products.

Located in the middle of Münsterland in a small village there you can find Villa Jöhne.
This listed family-owned house is being completely renovated into an oasis of well-being. Before the big machines and excavators arrived, we used this wonderful and magical place for a special photo shoot.
We created different rooms with different settings on site. So the ground floor, the upper floor and the storage room were comfortably furnished with our furniture and our table top - all in the middle of the rubble.
Of course, the perfect floral decoration could not be missing, so we got professional support from Christin from LeFlora.

A very special wedding season
The Corona Pandemic prompts us all with special challenges. Bridal couples who had already planned a wedding according to their individual vision often had to consider an alternative. For example, we have supported many bridal couples who had to suddenly celebrate privately in a small circle in their own home.

Fast solutions in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic
Health comes first, especially now during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are therefore pleased to be working with our tentmaking partners to equip several vaccination centers. Various temporary solutions have been built in Marburg, Gummersbach and Warendorf.
Ready for take off - airship hangar
In October, the location check took place in the airship hangar at Essen/Mühlheim Airport. Here, new plans for the event hall and the outdoor area were presented, taking into account the current hygiene and protection measures due to theCorona pandemic.

We are part of a new trade fair format: This year, for example, the "Locations-Messe" took place for the first time as a hybrid trade fair under the direction of Nicole Stegmann. A new digital experience, also for us.

The actual date of the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf 2020 was initially planned for the last week of August.
As major events were initially banned until 31 August 2020, Messe Düsseldorf's exhibition management decided to postpone the world's largest caravanning trade fair.
The red carpet is rolled out again
The Semper Opera Ball shines with a new catering concept. Thus, the dishes are freshly prepared behind the scenes and served on our high-quality tableware series "Options". Cutlery from the "Hepp Premium" series and glasses from our "Elegance" series round off the concept perfectly.
A trade fair for all regions
The LOCATIONS is one of the leading trade fairs of theMICE industry, which was founded by Nicole Stegmann and is constantly developed and advanced with the help of her team. Meanwhile there are sixRegions, in which the fair takes place. These are summarized as follows: Rhine-Ruhr, Rhine-Main, Rhine-Neckar,Central Germany, Stuttgart and Munich and thus cover almost the whole of Germany.
